MOD GRF 1-29 is a synthetic peptide that mimics growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH). It is utilized for the treatment of growth hormone deficiency or impaired growth. Additionally, it is employed in managing dwarfism and in preventing weight loss.

 

MOD GRF 1-29 Mechanism of Action:

MOD GRF 1-29 functions by activating the GHRH receptor to promote the release of growth hormone. This peptide consists of 29 amino acids, which is shorter than the natural version of GHRH that contains 44 amino acids. While GRF 1-29 has a half-life of approximately 10 minutes when unmodified, the modification to MOD GRF 1-29 extends its half-life to around 30 minutes.

 

MOD GRF 1-29 Side Effects:

Potential side effects include flushing, injection site discomfort, nausea and vomiting, headaches, allergic reactions, and breathing difficulties.

Interactions may occur with COX inhibitors, glucocorticoids, atropine, and levodopa.
